Inspect a funded youth service and assess compliance
You are a Compliance Officer in the Shepparton office.
What has happened
The Merri Creek Youth Collective delivers a youth outreach service under service agreement CON-26-0084 and is due for its annual risk-based inspection on 14 September 2026, case RC-26-0211. The provider also has a Community Connect application under eligibility check and an overdue acquittal. The inspection must cover working with children checks, incident reporting and financial records for the agreement. Fiona Callaghan expects the inspection to be planned, conducted with the provider's cooperation, and reported with evidence for every finding, and any risk to young people to be raised with her on the day.

Evidence guide
Findings must be tied to evidence the student actually recorded, not impressions. Look for a proportionate recommended action that reflects the risk rating and the provider's history, correct handling of information about young people, and escalation of any immediate risk. The student should recognise the connection between the open grant application, the overdue acquittal and the inspection scope without mixing the processes.
